I have been traveling with my two children since they were very young. I used a stroller for walking and a separate car seat for riding a car when traveling. That was quite a hassle as I needed extra storage space in the car to keep the stroller.

Then, one day, a friend told me about the Doona Stroller, which is like a stroller with a car seat. You can use it in two ways. I quickly got the Doona Stroller and found it very comfortable to use. 

However, the most attention should be paid to cleanliness and hygiene while using strollers because a clean stroller has much to do with a baby’s well-being. That’s why I am here to tell you about this doona stroller cleaning method. Let’s find out.

What is a Doona Stroller?

Doona is the first stroller that can be converted from a car seat to a stroller in seconds. Its unique design allows you to comfortably use it while traveling in the car or bus without disturbing your sleeping baby while climbing stairs or walking.

Gathering Cleaning Tools

Before cleaning the stroller, it is essential to know what tools are needed for cleaning and to gather them together; then, it is easier and faster when doing the practical work. Here are the essential things:

1. Vacuum cleaner or lint roller: You may also need tools to clean up loose dirt such as a vacuum cleaner or lint roller.
2. Soft cloth or sponge: Use a soft cloth or sponge that won’t damage the fabric or frame of the stroller for cleaning.
3. Mild child-safe detergent: Use a gentle, chemical-free cleaning solution. Use detergents made for children or delicate fabrics.
4. Warm water: Make a cleaning solution by mixing warm water with detergent to remove tough or light dirt and stains.
5. Soft brush: Use a soft-bristled brush if the stain is tough and tight. But make sure it doesn’t scratch the fabric of the stroller.

• Locate the area where the harness is attached to the frame.
• As per the manufacturer, release the harness from the stroller frame.

Cleaning process:

Canopy

• Air drying should be done to dry the fabric.

Cleaning the stroller doesn’t just end with cleaning its infant insert and fabric; it’s also crucial to clean its frame. Here is the cleaning process:

Wipe the frame: The frame should be gently wiped with warm water and a soft fabric. The water should be relatively calm as it may discolor the frame. If you want, you can use mild detergent and a soft brush to remove stubborn dirt.

Use a soft and dry fabric: To remove the soapy water from the frame, wipe the frame thoroughly with a soft cloth soaked in normal water. Then tap the frame lightly with a dry, soft cloth to remove the wetness or the frame may rust.
